About the Board
The Board is responsible for the enforcement of the laws and regulations pertaining to the practice of environmental health in Nevada. The Board registers qualified environmental health specialists and environmental health specialist trainees, and regulates the professional practice of environmental health throughout the State.
The State Board of Environmental Health Specialists is funded solely from registration fees assessed practitioners. The State Board of Environmental Health Specialists does not receive funding from the State General Fund.
The Board maintains an administrative office staffed by the Executive Director who is responsible for adhering to all public administrative requirements, conducting research, facilitating meetings, and making recommendations to the Board on any matters pertaining to the Board.

All meetings of the Board are open to the public. No action may be taken on any item not included on an agenda.
